My name is Josh and i am from the USA. I'm not going to lie, i don't have much experience with electronics, but after researching for days/HOURS on how to build this delta Pulse induction metal detector i have become very interested. I do have the parts list and a few PCB print outs. Now i do have experience examining old tv boards and taking parts out and labeling them...Ive done this for months just to see how things are put together. I plan on hunting for space rocks that have been found on our property. I have a few questions before i attempt this project.  Please explain in full detail.
1. Can someone send me a link on the most recent and CORRECT PCB. front and back for single
2. While looking on ebay... I typed some of these parts out just to see what they looked like and i was wondering if anyone had a parts list with pictures?
3. With the confusing of people trying to locate the correct parts... since i have a ton of old radios and tvs.. would i be able to salvage these parts from the boards?
4. I do have soldering experience... but any tips would be helpful.
5. With good work and tuning how deep should i be able to search on average using a decent sized square coil?

I am a new to this but i LOVE projects!

Lets say i'm hunting for a known area where meteorites have been found and lets say the object is the size of a softball. Now how far down would you guys estimate this to detect? I do understand the larger the object the easier to find plus soil/mineral salts. But if i follow the correct instruction and make a coil out of pvc pipe with the correct rotations and resistence.... on average how deep should i be able to go?

Welcome to you, Josh, and best of luck to you on your quest.

Be aware that building an electronic project is not like assembling a model airplane. You don't just get parts, boards and pictures of the parts to make it work. There is a good bit of skill involved and specialized knowledge. I would advise you to find an electronics technician near you and enlist his or her help. Either that or sign up for a night course in basic electronics to give you a leg up.

What are you referring to as findings? I don't understand your question.

Eugene, I was wondering if i could order the pcb and all the components from you. I have read a few books on schematics, All i need is a list of components, tools, pictorial, schematic, and block diagram for this project.  If we can order.. could you recommend a good site where i could get a PCB, and find similar components that you used? I am new to this and love projects. I would like to start this project soon. Please let me know and btw thanks for your advice and knowledge you help all of us on this form.

                                                                                    Josh
