Hi Ropcsika

That looks like a neat job you did there now all you have to do is take good photos  Wink

@ Danny475

I can't say like that I'd have to see the schematics but the chances are that you probably could.

I made a searchcoil, adsl 8-wire cable with a diameter of 35 cm 4 turn. The resistance of 3.5 ohms ... this is good?

Hi to all
What is the PIC PI
Is it similar to Delta pulse2?
If it's  good I want to build it.
What's your suggest ?
 Huh?

Did you try it? the resistance is good I think that it should work fine like that.

@ Freedan3d

Sorry mate I can't give you any comment on the performance but the PIC PI is is build with a programmable interface controller so you will have to get the code for it thats all that I can tell you. But start a new threat I'm sure that you will get a good answer from one of the members.

Thanks Xavier
Thanks Ram
But i want to build a good MD with microcontroller and long depth.
In first i maked a pulse-2 md and it worked very nice but it weak for gold.
One of my friend suggest me to build  Miner-4 for my purpose .
It use 2 atmeg micro and it look a good metal detector .
But it component is very expensive and i cant find some of them in my location.
This pic pi detector use IRF740 in it's circuit same as pulse-2 and it's output power is only 400 V 10 A but  Miner-4 use BUP314 and it's output power is 1200V 52A !!!!!  Shocked Shocked
They are very different Embarrassed
I'm very confuse  Huh?
please help me to find and select a good MD  Undecided

regards Freedan3d

You need to find one that has a hight frequency you need the higher frequency for gold there is one that is called the gold pic it was designed for gold hunting I can't tell you more about it as I have not build it. Like I told you before start a new thread call it " what is the best home build gold detector" you will get all the info that you will need and someone will probably even have a schematic for you.

All the best
Xavier

yes, miner 4 have high wattage output and flyback voltage and using 21.6 volt batt. dp and other pi can be modified for high wattage even more, using 24v batt and high power output igbt or mosfets. it depends on your target. all schematics of pi were posted, just in how to modify it for greater penetration.

regards, ram.

FYI

I read somewhere in this thread that some folks were having trouble finding a source for the LF357. I found them at

for under $3 each (+ shipping). They also have small spools of magnet wire.

I thought this would help some DP1 or DP2 builders trying to locate the illusive LF357.

Cheers!
