I found a cross referenced part from Mouser Electronics 526 NTE909D which is a 14 pin dip. It costs $2.37. I pulled the data sheets and the pinout is the same, you just use the inner 8 pins to plug in your 8 pin socket.I think it will work.

Are the power pins in the same place?

Did you find one?

I think I may have one I was saving for another SandBanks.

I will Send it to you for $.50 plus shipping.  Shipping $49.99!    Ha!   Not really The Price of a beer would be cool!

It is the Metal Can type.

They are the best as they are shielded.

On checking I have a 709HC  Metal can

and the ECG 909D  14 pin.

Let me know.

 Great

709HC metal can sent!

The damb thing cost $1.22 to send your basic Empy Enovolope and I only asked $3.00 for the stupid thing.

You still Owe me a beer!

 Great

With all the posts and interest in the DBP2010 , don't you think that somebody should build this detector and make it commercially available ?  Maybe  Christian and Darkkitten should get together to have this detector built . It should be done in an acceptable , commercial way . I am too old to start a program like this . If I were a little younger I would do it , but not now anymore . There is / should be  enough interest in this nearly perfect PI detector to make it a nice project .  Cornelius

It would be great to see a commercial version available Cornelius, and it is good to see that you hold this particular M.D. in such great regard, as I am about 3/4 through this project.

Go Up Go Down

Hi Cornelius
I was thinking of putting it in a kit form PCB and all the components plus coil but not as a ready to use unit as that would require large facilities and I do not have the space at the moment but I will be producing flat coils in a short while I still have some work to do on my setup and I need to get a stock of magnet wire. As on the PI you do not need to have loads of different gages of wire I will only have three different gages and three different coil sizes.

Regards Xavier

Xavier , Don't forget that quite a few persons don't even know what a soldering gun looks like . To even be able to build a detector which comes in kit form is quite a job . Some people get frustrated and give up . No ..... I think a completely built detector should be made available . More people  would be interested in a ready to go detector than to safe a few dollars on something they have to build .   Cornelius
