I looked through all threads for info about this detector. All I found was several pictures of assembled boards, PCB layouts and one schematic. The schematic doesn't tell much...there's a lot of "k" #'s that doesn't indicate what they're for. Why are there two PCB's...I understand there are two becuase of noise isolation, but how is the final detector assembled? Where do the boards go? What are all the "k" points? Is there any documentation on this?

Hi,
e-mail me for schematics, parts list etc.

the smaller board is soldered in place threw "K" marked holes. I used golded connector pins, there are 12 of them so do not worry, the small PCB is soldered in place and it will not go anywhere.

regards,
d.

Dark Kitten , you have built the DBP2010, do you know where to get the IC-7 (MA709) chip on the piggyback board, or maybe a good substitute? Where I am, that part # is unknown.

Hi wil,

the uA709 is an old 709 OPAMP, you can check with Farnell, but i advise you to check with your local dealer for LM709 (LM709CN DIP8), if you'll be unable to get it i have one in my junk-box.

regards,
d.

Hi,
use 10nF and 2nF in parellel, there is an extra space on PCB for that. Probably 22K poti will do as well.

Thanks D.K., on the wire sizes, I am still trying to locate a ua709, I found one but the vultures want $5.00, plus they got a $40.00 minimum. are you sure there arent any other op amps that will work in its place?   Wil
