Hi Alexismex. I'm new here, how deep is your baracuda with that "beast" coil?
Cheers.

Hi Alexis, I made the Barracuda and a 22,5 cm coil, with multi-strand PVC insulated cable. My question is: Needs shield? I don't know if it's necesary in a PI detector

Hola Alexis, yo hice el Barracuda y una bobina de 22,5 cm de cable multifilamento con aislación de PVC. Mi pregunta es: Necesito hacerle blindaje? No sé si es necesario en un detector PI

Hola Fafala ,
Yo utilizo  muy poco el blindage
I use  very little the shield...
If you are  good in inductance, the coil will work good,Barracuda  work very well with good coil ,you can check  with Teflon cable ,or make  with insulated pvc "normal" cable ...in Geotech  you can find  many info  to make  shield  for  coil  ...but it will take  many test  to find the right shield...cu...pb... etc....

Thanks Alexis. I will try with different coils with or without shield to choose the best design.

Best regards.

Not likely if you can't find it in the downloads section.
