Now here is the trick to making this coil, after 5 turns the wire will fill the same slot from where you started, move the wire one slot and continue winding another 5 turns and then move the wire one slot and continue , you should not have any parallel wires, and the wire should stack up in the slots.

When completed 33 turns gave me 320uH.

Any chance of you posting the barracuda schematic in a readable size or maybe a link to the original one you posted that I can't seem to find? I opened the thumbnail, expanded to original size and saved as jpg, but it's so pixelated that I can't read any numbers. Much appreciated  Wink

Which one are you interested in ?  If you go back to the start of the thread I think we have them all posted.

I'm currently building the Anchor on NE555's board using his BOM.

The schematic I was looking at was on page 1 of this thread with a corresponding PCB layout.  Anchor Barracuda Pulse dated 13 October 2015 if I read the writing correctly (it's almost impossible). The one you attached seems to be almost identical except for the extra connection from battery ground to headphone jack. Was there a grounding issue? Yours is of course much more readable. Many thanks! Cool Have you been getting good results? I was also wondering about coil designs. Are those complicated winding designs worth the trouble? Most dIY projects seem to have just a simple coil with a certain inductance.

Schematic  I just posted is the one I used to Build. No Issues found.   Coil !  The Basket coil is just a attempt to reduce Inter winding Capacitance.    If all your after is Coins and stuff a Simple Mono Coil will do the job ...   300-400uH will work.
