Date: post Revolutionary War

History: Ferguson House was built shortly after the Revolutionary War by Judge John Hunter and located near Hammonds Store, a pre-Revolutionary War trading post/gun and blacksmith shop. This home originally sat on the corner of what is now Musgrove and East Florida Street. When Mr. Joe Leake built the brick house which is currently on that corner, he had the house moved to the back of his new home and there it sat on the hill for many years. Rev. Dean and his wife bought the home and had it moved to it's current location on Calvert Avenue. This house, the oldest in Clinton, is privately owned.

Location: 705 Calvert Avenue Extension in Clinton
