Hello everybody,
In South Carolina if it has a heartbeat it can be dinner. Fried chicken, fried fish, rice and gravy, butter beans, tater salad, fresh sliced tomaters, and the best wood fired pit cooked BBQ you will ever push past your tonsils. Yall come on in and take yer shoes off. Supper will be ready in a little while.

Hi Steveo,
I am going to have a big pot of venison stew, buttered corn and a plate full of fresh hot biscuits chasin it down with a glass of sweet tea. The porch light will be on.

    Hello Jere
Man you are killing me here.Boy that is some down home cooking you got there  Great
A guy I know gave me a little sack of deer jerky last week and let me tell you it didn't last long. Not as good as stew but I'll take deer in any form I can get it.
Are you the chef that's cooking up this feast?   Yummy
Son now that I think of it it's been many moons since I had some good ol southern style SWEET TEA.
I'm telling you, you really are KILLING ME   Beheading
Thanks Jere for the invite,it would be like an 700 mile road trip for me but I'll bet it would be worth it.
enjoy, set an extra plate and keep a watch out for me this evening.    Yummy

Hi Steveo,
Learned to cook from one of the best cooks in the South, my Mom. Nothing but down home recipes in this house. If you or any of the rest of the forum are ever in the area come on in. Always welcome. Myrtle Beach is about 50 miles from my place.

Yummy Hi Steveo, Dinner will be slim for me. Nobody here for now during the day. Tonight for supper I'm thinking a pot of chicken & dumplings the way mama use to make them and some biscuits. My teenage son could eat biscuits 24/7.  Yummy

Sounds [great]Jere
Chicken & dumplings,Son I tell ya that's one of my faves.
Oh yeah I hear ya I too can throw some oven fresh biscuits and butter down my neck  Yummy
I don't think I'm going to have anything that good for dinner tonight.I never know till I get home and smell what the lil lady is cooking up.But then I'll eat just about anything she puts in front of me  Smiley
She is a yankee "LOL" but she is a pretty good cook, sometimes I get a surprise when she goes through my mothers old hillbilly cookbooks and cooks up some Appalachian dishes.
Thanks for all the mouth watering Jere.
Eat well my friend..... Waveing
