I must admit that my finds in east Tennessee have been sparce.
While ,people in New England were dropping coins on the ground
The people in the south were dropping coins on mostly clay grounds as well
The northern coins sunk into the ground. The southern coins bounced off the hard clay.
Not too many coins were unaccounted for down here but the south has lots of civil war
relics to offer.........................if your'e in the right area. East Tennessee didn't see a lot of Civil War action.
My proudest find was a 1778 Mass. minted coin which I found while living in Massachusetts.
I don't expect to find an item like that again but I do want to try so that's why I'm looking for
groups or friends to go looking when I get up there.
