First of all, thanks to all for accepting me on the forum. So many different categories to choose from even politics and religion. I live in a rural area of North Carolina not far from Fayetteville. First started detecting in the mid-70's but due to work and travel had to put it on hold and started back last year. I use a Nautilus DMC-2 and recently purchased a Teknetics G2+ which I'm still learning. Still getting use to a screen. I hope everyone will be patient with me as I'm not very good with computers, matter of fact I still use a flip phone but will look forward to posting and reading the various topics. Mostly reading for now as Iv'e got alot of catching up to do. Thanks again and look forward to learning what I can and learning my way around the site.

Welcome from Connecticut.

You live in a history rich area from pre-colonial days through the Revolution and Civil War eras. Fantastically fertile grounds are all around you. I am envious. Just a little. You will learn much here about research and treasure hunting. You will enjoy yourself and have hours of reading to do on the forum.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Yes the Nautilus machines are no frills and built like a tank. Not sure what will happen with them with the passing of the owner/inventer. Company has been sold, but may be a while before getting back in full production.
