Welcome from Connecticut! Wave to me as you go by.

There will be a number of members here from Florida. Go to the community link, member list and sort by state. Then note how many are active by both post count and percentage of activity. One member here named Salvor6 is quite active as a wreck diver down that way.

Be warned that some of Florida's beaches are off limits to detectors because of the wreck ownership off the coast. If in doubt, just ask the local detector shop. Speaking of that, a call to KellyCo would not go astray.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

Welcome from just this side of the Dotted Line in southern New Mexico.  What parts of Florida are you heading ?   Florida State law says anything between the High Tide and Low Tide marks of the beach is NO MAN 'S LAND and Free to Roam.   Unfortunately with all the Development Getting to that could be a issue.

As GD mentions there are more then a few Wreck Claim Sites Out of Bounds (Below the Water Line) .  A hundred years ago (Back in the 80's)  you could roam the beaches hunting.  Last I heard getting On the Beaches was the issue.

Great to see another Canuck aboard.  Good lot here.  Did some digging around Windsor when I went to St. Claire College years ago.  Sister in Lemington and brother in Oshawa.  Look forward to reading your adventures!
