If the oil removes what ever it's expected to ita might remove what made the coin a coin
I could end up with the core of a coin and a lot of green scale

I'm not overly concerned. As I said before I have a few I can afford to loose

  In all the years I've never heard of a coin being damaged with Olive Oil.
