Couple of ideas: 1) assuming there are no city ordinances that forbid it (and you'll need to check) search the area around Ricketts Park.....40+ years of Connie Mack championship play means there has to be at least a few interesting items lost
2) research the UFO sightings of 1950 --- try to find out where folks/media most often gathered to try to glimpse the UFOs
3) go to the library and search for old newspaper clippings on prominent people like the Allens. There may be leads there that are worth following up.
