I always go right past it. The name is too long for me. The truth be known, it has consequences.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

When you do your research, remember that before it was Truth or Consequences, it was Hot Springs.   Before it was Hot Springs, it was Las Palomas, so depending upon what sources you are reading it could appear under any of those names.  (by the way there is still  Las Palomas a few miles south of TorC).  Given the number of hot springs in the area and the tourist industry that has tended to grow up around those in the past, you might want to see if any of them are on open BLM land or on private property that you can get access to.

Also, because of it's location on the Rio Grande, T or C has always been on the route between El Paso and Santa Fe as well as on or near major east-west routes
