Go Up Go Down

first of all I am looking to get into arrowhead hunting, I am located in peterborough, ontario, canada and I know my city and near by has a thick native history. I have tryed to do reasearch on specific spots to hunt but can not find much. I would love some advice right now and if you know anything of the history in my area I would love to hear. Some places around me include serpent mounds and the petrogliphs. I was thinking about hunting around a river that connects to rice lake (where the serpent mounds are) is this a good idea or or should I keep my head in a book trying to find some place I for sure know they were. Any advice at all would be great.
thanks again,

Well first of all, you are in a good place to start a collection. Not much competition up your way.
I am a mentor on an arrowhead web site and know a few people up there that are into artifacts and you may want to get in touch with them.
The web site I am referring to is

A great arrowhead site

There are a lot of serious collectors on that site. There are others and I am a member there as well, but I have found that one
to be easier to surf, post and reply than others.
While you are there take a look at some of the other things we get into as well.
I am known as bone2stone on that site.
If you wish to get in touch with someone in your area that may be your best bet.

Hunting stuff like that has become Dodgy here in the US unless you stick to Private Properties.

OH ok, its quite confusing where the private property begins and ends in mo. Even river outfitters and police are unsure of laws and priviliges and boundaries. Thanks
