Go Up Go Down

I read several threads but i didn't find a discussion about this. I try to explain: i have the sniffer xr-71 as metal detector/ powerscan pro2 (i think is a version a bit modified from the original sniffer xr-71), and i'm using the coil 1x1mt. I saw several deep metaldetectors as Garrett and other brands that use a double coil, one front and one rear (one tx and one rx). Someone know if it could be better as coil in the xr-71? I'm pretty sure that could be absolutely easier for everyone to use because you can hold in one hand, is smaller and maybe with more performance.
I took this idea from this:

Bosco91 :  Two Box detectors have there place but are only good larger objects.  Like the sniffer with a one meter coil.  Not going to be finding coins with that thing.

Mazari :  40uS is way late for Natural Gold but I think it should still be seeing  a gold ring.   Gold Rings are alloyed with Copper, Brass or Silver.  I think your coil may be most of the issue.

Can you post a photo of your coil and describe it's build.

 Powerscan is the Sniffer XR-71.

Yes i don't use it for coins, but larger objective like helmets and so on. Do you think is it possible to have a coil like the link i sent before?
I noticed that is a bit different, maybe the powerscan is modified? I don't know but for example the powerscan has 2 large pin strip on the bottom (one with 10 pins and the other with 12 pins), the sniffer xr-71 no i saw from schema. Maybe is a project coming from the XR-71 and modified?

I can't find the link you talked about.  Please repost here.  Build a smaller coil.   Built a Lap top O-Scop while your at it.  That would be good enough to check out your Timing.
