Hello . Make sure all resistors and capacitors you used are within the proper values . Another thing to check are the transistors , did you use the BC series or the 2N series ? Is your damping resistor 680 ohms ? And finally make sure all your timings at the test points are set properly !! See the chart here:

Hello Eugene and Forum,
I have used BC transistors and i have the Resistor 680 ohms. But i guess i found somehow what the problem is on TR 2 i should have  TX at 80 uS. I had 10 mS wich was wrong. My question is if i will get about 100 uS instead 80 uS will be allright?

Regards
Marius

Remember the 10 ms of time between tx pulses is correct in europe which is your 100 hz frequency !!
HH.......Eugene

Here is second timing example from Technician Geo . And also TO92 BC 557 EBC configuration sheet .

May I ask what is the best PI MD for gold nuggets and coins, is it the DP/sniffer 71, Hammerhead or the underwater PI? Thanks for your help and advice.

all you have to do is adjust sense setting below the maximum setting. readjust again by decreasing the setting if the sound comes back. readjust till the sound totally disappear.
