Anyone who's completed one could you give me your results? I'd also like to know if anyone can compare it first-hand with some of the more popular detectors. If I waterproofed it what results would I get compred to a JW Fisher 8x, Garrett Sea Hunter or other PI detector?

what could be the possible problem of my delta pulse, it produce a continuing sound if there is a coil, even if i remove the coil and IRF740. If I press reset button the sound falls off then return after a few second again. I cannot tune it with threshold pot. I used the single layer board pcb and the coil i used is 23t, 40CM, 0.5 wire.

YES....finished my Delta Pulse today and is working great ,,i use a Detectorpro headhunter pulse coil..mighty sensitive..coil is 1200uh and 8.0 ohm.

Power on for 15 minute .nothing get warm.nothing smells xi xi..and stabile
i used cd4538bcn and cd4066be , Lf357 , tl062  and (ne556n instead of  lm556)
its super sensitive..but slow on fallback..0.6w for 680r by the irf740 and 2.2k 1w for paralell bobin coil
tested in 30 min now ..seems to be better and better nothing is heating and its stabil.

i had to use a 100ohm resistor for volume control,,my 100ohm new new pot was bad and cheap
but now i know i can buy better quality  potmeters to it.

so if you dont wanna make a coil..detectorpro`s pulse bob works great with delta pulse.
all other pulse detectors ive have tryed this coil..went out no good.
.but at last that coil come to use Smiley
Detector turned out to be just great..Thanks to designer on singelside pcb delta  pulse... i love it

Hello to all!

I am submitting here my finished project and it works pretty good. I make a simple temporary 6" search coil and can detect a single coin at 8" deep.

Thanks a lot to Eugene for sharing his time and talents.
More power to you and to thunting.com

hesamavr,
               this pcb's 200% no errors.

and my powerful ugly dp.
this is my 1st dp double sided pcb, from eugene52. and it works fine w/out errors batt/low indicator omitted. i use irf 840 and same power output. this was tested in very harsh invironment to proved the reliability and stability of dp schematic i posted in actual usage in different kinds of soil including salt water, i test it in actual underground burried metals in 40cm search coil at 5ft it detects the metal cal 5.56mm ammo box.

in testing pi machine dont rely on air test, it is very different in actual ground burried test. and dont believe on pi discrimination function its not functional. unless, if separate metal location and same size metal in different kinds of metal and same deepness. it is impossible to discriminate mixed metal in same location/hole,eg big aluminum metal above the small gold.

i used same schema and pcb lay
