I have a 4900 D purchased new. The sensitivity has never been anything to brag about but after trying to use it recently the depth sensitivity has gotten worse. Does anyone have any service information such as schematic, stage gain informaion etc.?
Thanks for any information.

Years ago I purchased a schematic from Whites on another model that was actually current at the time. This came on what looked like blue print paper. I thought there might be digital versions now but guess not. I am fully capable of repairing it myself being a radio technician and broadcast engineer for 35 years. Guess I'll have to call them to see if they still sell them.

Thanks for the response

Glad you can work on them as Whites has no parts any more for 4900-5900=6000 detectors, u could get parts off the net I'm sure, and the repair in Chicago says no parts or repair    shortribs
