Looking for a schematic for this detector. I think it maybe a clone of some other detector but can't find any schematic that matches. The detector has 6 chips: 3 tl064's,1 lm393, 1 lm339, 1 cd4053. It has the same controls and features of the bounty hunter tracker 4 but not the same circuit.

I would like to reverse engineer this detector. Some more pics of the PCB.

As you can see it has a tone discriminator feature where everything the left of where you set the discrimination control gives a low tone and everything to the right gives a high tone. Nice notch feature to have.

GC-1023, the GC stands for gold century, the only Chinese detector in its class with excellent reviews, sells for under 200. The circuit bears similarity to some fisher designs. I'm almost certain it is a clone since the chinese are known for cloning everything. I don't really see a chinese engineer designing this from scratch. If I could see the top foil I could reverse engineer the schematic but the components obscure most of the top foil.

Yes. The pioneer 101 and the bounty hunter tracker 4 are the same but the chips used are different to gc1023.

The Chinese have very capable engineers so I didn't mean to suggest that they could not deign a great detector from scratch. What I meant was there is no need to reinvent the wheel when you could just copy it.
