Thanks for that- I recently sourced a couple of battery trays, but it was hard work. I haven't seen them on ebay for ages. Our Garrett distributors here in Oz, as elsewhere, are not interested in supplying parts for older machines. I sourced one from Kellyco in the US, but they flatly refused to ship to Australia, siting that they would be infringing on their distribution contract with Garrett. What a joke. Old machines they don't even service, yet the litigeous BS laws we manufacture hamstring us all.
So it cost me over $100 AU to get it here through a forwarding agent in the US.
Also if anyone has the copper trace for the Groundhog I would be interested-it may be here somewhere already, but one can only spend so much time looking for it.

THANK YOU krsd

Actually  Garrett and Tesoro are some of the best at working on older Detector.

I have read vlf types are better than pulse type detectors.
Also "simple is the best".

No, thanks.

You're being over critical. It is a 45 year old design, now out of production. How many do you think are out there needing parts? Why should any company go that long supporting a dead technology? You and I still like them but the rest of the detecting world has moved on to far better machines now.

Please stop being so critical because they don't have your parts. It's poor form to make negative comments about an advertiser who actually makes this and other forums possible.

If you dont have enough Money to buy a new device, you must be happy with what you have.
I have two children and I cannot make Money for a new device.
I did not buy it. My friend gave it to me and said "repair this and it is yours."
I have bought a 20k pot 3.20 usd included shipping.
