He told he he used it in a rainy day and has been corrosion.
There is a scheme of this device, I have looked at there are 2x 15k and 150k resistors and condensators, and the pot is 30k
There is a ebay link and Picture of the potentiometer I have found.
But it is 1" x 2" dimension. It is very big for the cabinet.
It ıs 25usd included shipping.
Also 30k is unusal. Maybe 20k or 50k would be tried.
It is 2 or 2,5cm distance from the board and the handle inside.
Thanks everybody for the interest.
edit:The blue oneis 50k and the dimensions are suitable.

I heard back from Garrett and they have your pot in stock. It is a 10 turn, 25k and they can mail one to you. The cost is reasonable. I think he said around $10.00 plus shipping. Those are heavy duty pots. You can order it from the web site via e-mail. Their part number is 9301400. There's nothing better than a genuine replacement part.

Oh man, I know what you mean. I love my tablet and even bought one of those tiny keyboard pluse a case for it but that's even worse. So, I use the on-screen keyboard. I don't do much forum work because I can type over 100 wpm on a standard keyboard and my brain works faster than my tablet keyboard.

What size tablet are you using? Mine is a 7". Great for when I am needing information away from home. My Android phone works but as small as THAT screen is, these huge fingers make lots of mistakes. I use my Android as a hot spot for my tablet which is marginally bigger.

Golddigger I think they dont want to sell the part to me:
I had an email in a few hours.
Here it is.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your e-mail correspondence, your e-mail was transferred to the international department. I am seeing that the PN 9301400 is not in stock.  What type of detector do you have and what seems to be the problem?
Kind Regards,
