Li Ion have issues with dyeing from there birth date in time and with Heat.
NiMh batteries have limited charges and Don't do a Freeze. Let them Freeze one time and there done. NiCads don't do that. I have a Makita Drill and it came with NiCad. I ended up buying the batteries Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) because they would not charge. It ended up my charger went dead bug not the batteries. $160 Later I learned they was a waist of money and time. The NiMH batteries lasted about three months until I let them Freeze in my truck. Never had that problem with NiCads.
Think your limited by battery types?
