I was looking through all my Brit coins, and found this 1962 penny, it is in very good shape it appears to have been misstruck as it is "laminated" one layer over the other if I peel back the top layer underneath the original strike is there.
Anyone know who collects these things I think I read somewhere that there is interest in these coins.
Hi RR, you mentioned my Victoria coins well I sorted them all out of the mix and I have 304 I haven't sorted them by date yet so if you have some significant dates I would like to know, my earliest Vic coin is 1860 thru 1901.

Lamination errors of modern copper/bronze and nickel coins are not uncommon, but the lamination does not add any significant value.  A collector of minting errors might collect a lamination example in copper, nickel, silver and gold.  The silver and gold lamination errors are much less common and would have some slight increase in value over the normal value of the coin.

Thanks TG,
I didn't think it would be worth a lot of $$ but if someone has a collection which includes such coins I would trade it.....Thanks for the input....HH...Johnnn

G Day Johnnn, that 1962 coin is worth ?1.00 but because it is so badly miss struck then i would say it is worth many times that amount
Some of the victorian ones are worth $000s, the 1837 to 1860  Queen Victorian pennys can be worth from ?3 = $5.00 to $5500.00
each.
going back to the misstruck coin that depends on how much the collector wants it so the sky is the limit on that one
