I use the SE PRO, what are the actual hunting differences verses the Etrac. Using the same coils, any appreciable depth difference etc.? I would like here from users.

Hellow john

You will gain a little depth over the Pro. I think the main reason is because of the faster processor in the E-Trac. If you get a chance to try one Dont think of it as another detector in the Se line. It is a completly different machine that looks like the Se. You can find out more about the E-Trac here

or mlo.com. I am thinking of buying another E-Trac just to have a back-up.  Great I dont know how the weather is up their in VA, but its gettting just about right here in TX. Lows in the upper 40's and highs in the mid 70's. Looks like another long hard winter here in Texas.

After 39 years of loyalty to a "certain" brand of detector I am about to switch to Minlab. I keep hearing glowing reports of coins and other items being found at 10+ inches with fairly accurate id's

I am in the process of creating a small booklet of research and hunting tips for a small fee. Please watch this space for updates. Thanks for looking and/or responding to my posts

I have owned a Minelab SE PRO since last September, it is a good detector and has very good depth. I've used a Minelab Sovereign XS for a number of years and have found a lot of coins etc. with it. It also has great depth on coins. Maybe you could borrow one from someone and try it out before you purchase. Some local detector dealers might have one you can try.. John in Va.
