I add up to the collection an MXT All Pro today.
I had my eyes on the MX series for some time and tossing between MXT or MX-sport.
This was a good buy.pre-owned shipped from the states with an extra 12” coil, head phones and one year warranty left in it.
( need to figure out how to register)
The detector just arrived looks brand new.i will be spending the rest of the day looking at the HOW TO DVD and reading the manual.
I will be taking out tomorrow.
Watch this space.

Well done that's a great haul how much did the coins amount too ?

For prospecting In the relic mode don't set the disc above 2 and I find that using the relic mode in the default 2 Tone Mode with the Gain set to where it just starts to get noisy and with the Disc set to 2.8/2.9 works very well, when you turn on the machine leave the Gain at around 5 or 6 and ground balance it and then LOCK the Track Button then set it to the above settings and you will be on Fire, Ok

Hope that helps,

RR.

Cool Mate, If you have a Concentric Coil use that because they work better on the beach and the Salt Mode, the 12"/300 coil would be the best and the deepest coil except the 15" MXT Max Coil The MXT does not like DD's for the wet sand, Ok.

EDIT:- Those settings I gave you in my other post are for use with the 12"/300 Concentric Coil, because If you are running a DD you have to use a bit more Disc  and reduce the Gain lower than you would with a Concentric on beach sand, which means you might be loosing targets, Ok.

You can crank it up in the dry areas.

Hope that helps,

RR.

Thanks RR.
i put on my 9.5" eclipse coil and tried a local park.
i had to walk away. i was picking up targets some very deep but i could say what was what. No problem with the DFX
(bottle tops sound like coins and producing the same VDI number).
Back to the beach. much better behavior with the concentric coil.
i found a few coins and another junk ring.  Smiley
i need to practice  Detecting Detecting
The MXT its different than my other Whites detectors

Struth Mate, at this rate you will have that thing paid for within a week, How much have you found so far ?

The MXT is pretty much like a Phase III HO, it is totally manual and it has raw power I have seen pre decimal pennys come out the ground at 13 and a half inches using the 12"/300 coil with the Gain set to 6.7 /6.8. and that 950 coil will hit coins all day at 12 inches,

The 950 coil will see nuggets weighing 0.02 grams and the little 5.3 ( 6" ) Coil can see bits weighing 0.006 and 0.003 grams on the surface if you turn it to the Max and set the VSAT to around 2,

NOTE when you do Air Tests, Set the Tracking to LOCK before you turn it on and then Max out the Gain, listen for the Third Tone Threshold ALL METAL sound and that will add at leased another 10 or 12 inches on the depth, Ok.

Good luck and well done. Keep the Info coming.

RR.
