hello,
Ive been growing up in a community in annapolis Md.. Recently (within the past year or so) a book came out about the community that lies on the severn river and the book started off by talking about native americans in the area. In the short section apparently there were colonial and native american artifacts found in the 80s and it listed two archeologists in which i know. So i began by talking to one who was a family friend and he's quite old
. He told me that he and another local had excavated a site along this pond that connects to the severn river but he couldn't remember the exact location
and i have no idea what happen to the findings? So my question to you all is How would i go about finding more info about this if they worked for the smithsonian or geological survey or what have you and how would you recommend finding other possible artifacts if you have a general idea about the area?
any information would be very appreciated
Thanks,
Dinoslayer
