Hi all.  I'm in beautiful Maine this week with my family and hoping to find a spot to do some metal detecting.  Any place that's legal and within an hour or so of Ellsworth.  We're staying in the Acadia National Park / Ellsworth area.  I know Acadia is off limits.  I'd appreciate any suggestions you might have.  Thanks, Mike

I can't help you because I'm in Oregon, but...  I want to welcome you to the forum.  Good luck metal detecting and finding a good place to do it!

Welcome to the forum. Should have written to us a week or more ago. You need to do research at a library for some good ideas. Next year.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.
