Tree Carving

I'm goin' with Goldigger on this one, I too am old enough to remember the tv show. It was a kid that really liked the tv show. One thing that I always think about with aspens around here, Aspens are the weeds of the forest. After a fire the aspens come in quick at higher elevations when they are huge and falling over They are only 150 years old, most fall over and rot sooner. They fertilize the forest floors for Pines, ponderosa, ect which fall and create a floor for doug fir and the really old growth stuff, around here. If I see a 1860 date on an aspen the tree is huge and the carving is grown over almost to the point of very hard to read. Just my 2 cents.
