On Bayou Teche Hippolyte Chretien and his wife Felicity owned a plantation in St. Landry Paris in Louisiana known as Chretien Point. Somewhere on or near that plantation he was said to have buried, or sunk, the sum of $625,000 in gold and silver. He died without saying where and Felicity spent the rest of her life looking (unsuccessfully) for it. If real it has never been discovered and there has never been a known KGC association with it.
