Is it difficult getting permission to hunt in these locations you've mentioned (abandoned school houses and such)?  I've never done this, but I am curious.

Regards,
Chris

It can be tough to find the current owner unless it's on public land. Getting the actual permission is normally easy as long as the owner isn't worried about you getting hurt on his property. They also want assurances that you won't vandalize the property but your asking permission goes a long way towards them not worrying about that aspect. Be polite and offer assurances that you will be very responsible on their property.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I live near Martinsville, IN.  So far just finding coins and relics at state parks.  Just read last week in the "Lost Treasure online" tips from pros about Indiana.  Shockingly Morgan County where I live is still hiding some gold on creek edges and river banks.  Supposedly there is gold in Indiana to be found.  Good Luck.   Jim
