Here we have an old seal! I have a bunch of these and they use to be very handy. When sending a highly expensive item through German postal services you will often need to seal the parcel. Then these come in quite handy!
It's just missing its wooden handle. Otherwise it it still very fine.
A friend of mine had even once discovered the seal-ring of a Bsihop which dated back to around 1550.
