I met a guy on the tailings yesterday who said last year in the spot where we were standing, he found a gold nugget on the piles with his Minelab.  It had some quartz attached to it.

Pat, If it was on Quartz it would be fairly small, your GB should find it, you got the tools so keep looking
and good luck with that,

Homefire, good article on Tom Cooper. This quote came from it.

"It turns out the cure for gold fever, at least for Cooper, is in enjoying the search as much as the find."

No gold out on the tailings yet.  But, a good sign that my MD is working.....I was sweeping the stream bed yesterday in a foot of water with my goldbug and found a cheap pair of reading glasses I had lost up there a month ago.

You'll find gold now that you got your glasses back to see how to set your detector  Funny

I'm happy to find quartz and the like. Call me crazy but they make for good house objects..
