It's handier than taking notes when I find a good spot. In the bush, it's priceless. For coinshooting, Lat and Long are shorthand for "The old park on the corner of Jackson and Ogilvy in Padbury." With one meter resolution, I can even find the same park bench.

I take my Garmin along on almost every hunt; it's indispensable. However at times of thick cloud/tree cover, its also handy to have an old-fashioned compass in the kit.
