What are your expectations on the circuit?

It appears to be a Extremely Low Freq  HetroDyne Radio Receiver.   I don't understand the output stage.  It seems to go no place. Just has the NN connector?

The Voltage detector stage does not show the input connection.

Replacing the Opto Isolator and Forward with a Audio Amp like LM-386 would be interesting.

Sir,
I do not want to spoil your enthusiasm for finding lost treasure. So in answering your question I speak to you with great knowledge of electronic circuitry. The Emfad acronym stands for Electronic Magnetic Field Anomoly Detector. It is advertised as GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar). [bIT IS NOT![/b] Emfad's are magnatometers. The circuitry you have presented here has none of the components required to build either of these. That is unless you have not shown us the rest of the circuits. If someone is trying to or has sold you this circuit, it is not what you think you are getting. If you are trying to get us to get interested in this circuit, you are wasting your time. My advice would be to go purchase a real metal detector. You will find more treasure. Happy Hunting.

Dusty Carl

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

A large Inductor as a detector in the front end with say  LOW Freq Filter to two two Darlington Transistors in series would make a better magnetometer.    Parts count of less then 15 or so.
