How does this make you any more legal than before you join?

If you don't have a contract, you can't legally take a metal detector in the water in lease areas.  Violent

Do you see the fallacy here? I could form a club and demand that only members are allowed to hunt my beaches. What gives your group the right to allow anyone to search or not? This is a simple question that would seem to be asking for what it is that allows you to grant or not grant permission.

I am a professional treasure hunter and don't require your permission to be one. Why is that so? Because I identify myself as one. Can I hunt for the 1715 fleet? Of course I can. What I am asking you to present is your permission to claim the entire fleet for your own. When you present that, I'll believe that only sub-contractors can search for the fleet.

By the way, the fleet itself may lie in waters outside of what you incorrectly consider "yours."

After millions of Dollars in court after court, the Fisher family holds claim to the sites.

The Fishers in finding the most of the 1715 fleet pretty much was instrumental in the latest Florida Treasure Trove Laws.

Still under the Ultimate control by the State of Florida, They have control of the sites.

Some what like a Gold Claim.

Homefire, it clearly says that MOST sites are under lease. Not all of them. Not only that but the original post by Salvor6 indicates that you cannot be a legal professional treasure hunter without attending the subcontractor's meeting and becoming a subcontractor. I take grave exception to that declaration. You should too. It seems to me that it's far more important for you to fall into lockstep because you don't ever want to agree with me on anything. You take the opposite viewpoint every single time you answer one of my posts. You seem to stop thinking and let your knee jerk up every time.

Dude!  I hold no Animosity to You or anyone else here on the Forum.

I just respect the Fisher family for finding them, Fighting the State of Florida to Keep what was theirs, and if I ever make it back to Florida, I will Keep within the Lines.

I really don't see how you could construe my last post as a attack on you?

I just stated facts and the way they (Fishers) and the State of Florida set it up.

I think the State ended up with the Royal 50% on the deal and didn't do shit to find or recover anything.

That's not right.

There is a battle going on in Spain about a few wreaks found and it looks like the Gov is going to end up with the whole thing.

Sorry if I Offend you in any way, it never has been or will be my intentions!

Wherever anyone has a lease, they control who can enter.

My not attending a meeting of sub-contractors has no bearing on whether or not I am a "legal" treasure hunter.

GD you are interpreting my post in the wrong way. Anyone can take my words and twist them to mean what they want. My group does not control the wreck sites, the State of Florida does. They can say where you are allowed to treasure hunt and where you can not. I would like to see you come to FL and start metal detecting in a designated lease area. Also, I guess anyone who metal detects for nickels and pennies can call themselves a professional treasure hunter.
