Question:
  What is Florida rule on Metal detecting in the light surf to say chest deep water.

Legal are not?

Going to Panama City Beach.

I wouldn't take the word of someone from Arizona as gospel, but everything I've read says you need to stay above the low tide mark.....so interpret that as you will.   (i.e. if you are chest high at high tide, you're probably ok  Wink )
