I demolished my coil. Pretty cool looking... little pieces of plastic all over the place. I'm gonna go have a cigarette and then smash the SOB and then light it on fire.

This is fun

Somebody call forensics. I think we have a dismemberment murder here.

I warned you that it wouldn't be for the faint of heart. Normally, when mass destruction happens, it's because of impatience and trying to get the potting out too quickly. No real harm though, since it was already not functioning. Hopefully there won't be a next time but if there is, go slower.

It's all about that moment when metal that hasn't seen the light of day for generations frees itself from the soil and presents itself to me.

I couldn't even get to the potting. Fisher has that thing nearly impossible to crack. There are literally three plastic coil cover of variable quality sandwiched and glued and glued and sandwiched. Then, that platic piece to go over the cord goes deep into the coil (it is hard plastic after you take the soft plastic par off) where it is in the inpenatrable epoxy hell which I nick named "Time to buy a new coil!"

I'll send it to euuge or someone to see if he can get any viable information out of it.

Cheers

Sean

I hope you checked the coil connector first, I had trouble with my omega coil and it ended up being a broken wire in the connector. It took 30 seconds to resolder and I was up and running again.
