Well they look nice but honestly alot of stuff like that if you buy it overseas it will end up being fake. Even if it looks like its legit they are pretty good at making fake stuff like that. If you really want to know take it to an antique dealer or someone like that and they might give you an idea.

i knew when i bought them that they were replica's, i just bought them for the souvenir factor.  there are a couple of people that i know that actually were able to find the real deal over there.  my hope by buying these fakes.....were that the rumors of actual parts from the original weapons were being used to complete the replica, were true; and that at least a piece of hte replicas would be real, such as an original snail, trigger, or flint lock.

Perhaps you can sense anyone's confusion when you said "now how real these are?....i'm ohonestly not to sure..." in your original post in this topic. I was under the impression that you didn't know they were replicas and I wanted to be sure you knew the risk of treating them as if they were real.

sorry for the confusion, what i was meaning was that i had already researched them before i bought them over in Afghanistan, and knew that they were replicas that they were creating and turning around and selling for profit.  when i researched these there were reports that there certain pieces of the weapons being sold in Afghanistan were real, and that the Afghan people were using the old pieces as starting points to construct a replica to sell.  i just posted this to see if maybe someone recognized a piece or pieces of the weapons from the picture, that were in fact possibly the real deal.  one of my buddies was able to get the real deal over there and then took one of his guns to a dealer, and they said that certain pieces of it were infact real, and that the rest of the replica had been built around it.

You all have given me great suggestions and post, and i appreciate it very very much, sorry if there was some confusion when i first posted it.  anyone else got the real deal out there?  you're a lucky one if you do.

Drat. I was hoping you'd get so frustrated that you'd send them to me. They're purty. Real purty.
