Bamban’s Hidden WWII Tunnels Now Officially a Heritage Zone
via Sunstar, 03 October 023: The Sangguniang Bayan of Bamban, Tarlac, has officially declared a network of World War II tunnels as a municipal historical site and heritage zone. The resolution aims to protect and conserve these tunnels, which played a significant role during the Japanese invasion and the liberation of the Philippines. The tunnels were notably used by the Japanese forces to protect the Clak Airfield and served as one of their headquarters.
