If you have never been taught to use a bag by a certified instructor, please dont.  Like said earlier, they can be very dangerous.  Have fun and be safe.

You can pick up 100lbs bags for less than $50 bucks.  learning how to use them is the key.

Go Up Go Down

Hi again, someone posted earlier where to get hold of lifting bags. Where I live we have a bloke who makes a very reliable and sound RIB, pontoon replacements, anything really, and we gave him some specs and he has since made loads of bags for us.
We mainly use the 3 and 5 ton bags for everyday stuff but the most classic must be the 'shopping bag' size ones. They roll up nice and small, have a short 1-2 ft rope attatched to a netting sack. These we use to convey tools around and also for lifting/assisting those pieces that are just a little too heavy when not using a BC as we use a hookah/surface supply unit when diving.

Stay safe Smiley

While in the Med, I found a 1 gal bleach jug could lift,  a four lb object no problem.   Just filled them with water and took them down and filled them to lift.

Two of them could keep you from even thinking of going under water.

I  could lift 40 lb of dirt of the bottom no problems.  They would bob on the surface and could be picked up as wished.
