Just finished building my second hookah pump. I used to hate hookah because it restricts you to the length of your hose but after using one for scalloping and treasure diving, I got "hooked"!  Grin It is based on the Gast PCD-10. It is the best compressor for 3 reasons. First, it is oil less. Second, it has the highest CFM rating of any oil-less compressor. Third, it is rated at 125psi max. This means you don't need a special hookah regulator. You can use your high performance second stage that operates at the same psi. The base is all aluminum and I had it red anodized.

That's sweet! How long will she run on one tank?

Four hours on one tank of gas, 3.6 liters or .9 gallons.

That's long enough to get tired, mate. Do you have an audible warning if you are on reserve tank alone?

No. I have a buddy on board the boat that monitors the equipment (dredge pump, hookah, marine patrol, etc.).

Always safe to have a buddy. On my oldie but goodie, I had an audible alarm. An outdoor house alarm completely sealed in acrylic and submerged. I only heard it go off once and that was my testing of it to see if it worked.

I have owned and used lots of hookah in my life but that has got to be the nicest one I have ever seen. Great job building it.
