Go Up Go Down

Hi fellow treasure hunters. I would really appreciate some creative feedback on an Irish treasure hunt experience I am planning for Boston using an online clue trail and real hidden treasure just like "National Treasure" or "The Da Vinci Code"
We held the pilot version on the Causeway Coast of Ireland with a $8000 precious bronze treasure horse. Contestants had to follow 9 online clues to reveal a secret 20 word message which if correctly interpreted would lead to the burial location of the treasure.
I appreciate a lot of the 'treasure hunting community' are used to metal detectors, however I was wondering how you would feel about this unusual combination of cryptic clues, riddles, history along with one off commissioned artworks?

The artworks are valued between $8000 - $20,000 depending on the hunt.

We are adding in 2 ways for players to strike it rich. If you can solve the clues you can either visit the location, retrieve a concealed container with a special code or alternatively you can place 'dig points' on a virtual aerial photograph. Or both of course.

We had around 60,000 page views on the website. 70% from USA
You feedback would be very much appreciated.

Check out the website - watch my explanation video and let me know

LOL! Sounds like the Old man Kennedy hid some of his Ill gained goodies selling Wheat to the Russian during the Embargo .   Maybe some of the Funds from the Whisky?

Sounds like a cool contest.   Is there any Real Prize   Huh??

Maybe I should move this to Contest?

Yes the prize is a one off bronze art horse by the international artist April Young. It was specially commissioned by Treasure Pilgrim and has received considerable press coverage in the UK. For Boston we are looking at creating a gold seahorse worth around $18,000. Contestants will follow the 9 online clues and unlock a secret 20 word message

The big difference between the Boston Hunt and the pilot we have just run is that contestants can play the game and place their stakes on a virtual map without having to visit the city. However if they feel the lure of real hidden gold they can still visit Boston and recover the prize.

It might also interest you that Ian McElhinney from HBO "Game of Thrones' will be involved in playing the virtual host in the Boston game
