I have my smartscreen filter turned on and I have not been getting that problem.  Clapp Maybe because I do not use Google. I use Bing, without the toolbar. Some people like toolbars, but I don't. They are  like hemorrhoids.

A bad day at gold prospecting or metal detecting is better than a good day at work.

I got a note from MS yesterday stating that Ridge Runner had also stated the site to be ok.  After I turned off that *^#@ filter, I've had no more 'warnings'.
Again thanks, everybody!

I got some of those warnings last week.  At first I didn't come on the site, then I ignored it and came on.  After that they went away.  I didn't turn anything on or off!  Go figure.

Any of you guys interested in turning that filter back on to test if the problem comes back again? I personally don't think it was MS. I think it was a fishing scam from some website you visited and it left a "cookie" on computer and smart filter was warning you about it. I would try deleting cookies and turn your smart filter back on. Adware can do this too.

I turned off my filter day one.  Still got the crap about a few days after everyone else was talking about it.  I deleted Windows defender 20 times but it keeps coming back with every up date I get.   The computer is only like three months old.  Just getting it the way I want it.  Funny how they hide some chit.  Tashita computers come loaded with addware.

You can turn windows defender off in control panel. I have automatic windows updates turned off also. I have it ask me if I want to update first. If I do, I can choose which updates I want. I use AVG antivirus software (mainly because you can get a free version). You can have it scan a site before your computer actually goes there. However, keep your firewall turned on. No one has gotten through yet. (knock on wood). The best defense you can have against computer problems, is to be computer savvy.
