Hello Josey,

that's funny Smiley Because right now I am working a new auction format site limited to antiques of all kind. It will have almost all the bells and whistles from eBay but will be free of charge with a stronger emphasis on the community. That's participating members who control things, making sure there are no fakes and ripp offs.

I will anounce the site when it is ready.

So I have to aploud you for having had a great idea  Wink Smiley

Regards,

Christian

Hey Josey we talked about this a year or so ago and I auctioned off several books. The problem was the buyer paid the forum and the seller (me) had to pay postage out of their pocket that could get expensive for the seller very fast. After talking with Christian we decided it was better that when I sale treasure books on ebay I just make a donation to the forum. That way I can get the cost of book and postage back.

If you want to try an auction go to the for sale area and start one  I will support you a 100% and thanks for the idea.

your welcome seldom,I'm sure theres gonna be other ideas,  i didnt know about the  previous failure sorry  and i  dont have time to run an auction for the site.i do apreciate the offer of support  i will  have to wait and  see what Christian comes up with i just thought maybe there was a way to for hunters, diggers or dealers  to sell/buy things  in here in a auction format benifitting the site some way or  maybe drawing more folks in to the site   and giving them a option other than whats out there i know that some things may be to much of a hassle to do or just wont work  .this may have been dicussed before if so disregard . what about if there was a way for folks to get apraisals or somthing like that there again just throwing that out there  it would be neat to have an item apraised before selling where ever you choose to sell it or just for a member to know the value if they just t wanted to keep it   and would benifit buyer and seller i know you can search out the value but its not the same as having it appraised or graded . what about a contest for who ever can/ gives the closest apraisal to the actual value  of a find /item  like a whats it worth contest or somthin just tryin to help ya'll josey

Hey Homie,

Good evening to you all. Sorry I haven't been around much, but the flu and winter have really taken a toll.

I've got to agree with you Homie, those areas are geographic regions I tend to not think about a great deal being a US Marine Corps Veteran and son and grandson of WW2/Korea/Vietnam USMC Decorated Veterans, I just don't ship there either!   Angry

LOL,  Great
Jim

Hi Christian

What I think would be nice to have is a button at the bottom of the page going to new replies. I find it quite frustrating having to scroll up the page all the time.

All the best
Xavier
