The Fraser Valley Treasure Hunters had a VERY special Hunt at Neilson Park.
We were privileged to be part of an event that also included SMI Electronics from Langley, BC, Ring Finders Vancouver Branch. Al and William approached the Club to see if we would help out with a young man who had Leukaemia and wanted to upgrade his machine. He had approached the manufacture about it, but they steered him to SMI in Langley. So we got the ball rolling and raised some funds to buy a pinpointer and other gear. That is when Chris Turner stepped up and donated a new Pinpointer BUT, it gets BETTER.
One of our Members Kris Szigeti stepped up and donated his AT Pro, he then turned around and bought a DFX from SMI Electronics. We had a great hunt on the 16th.
I could not be prouder of our members who took part in the event as well as donating funds.Also a big shout out to Al & William at SMI and to Chris Turner at Ring Finders.
What a great Hobby.
