How do I find documentation of an old mine? I know the approximate location and have family members who have been there, but can't find a claim filing or any assay work records. Any ideas? thanks

This is what you need!   It will take you a bit to figure it out but it will tell you if it's claimed , Unclaimed, Patented or not.
