Hi Guys,
I have put together a video on electrolysis, how to do it, what you need, and how to stop further rust after electrolysis. It can be viewed on my YouTube Channel at the following address:

Nice!

I use salt mixed with bicarbonate of soda. Seems to work faster when you use an aluminum plate. Takes off the surface corrosion in seconds without adding power. When you add 12v, even badly corroded stuff boils off in less than 10 minutes. Try it and see how you like it. Bicarbonate of soda is under a dollar a box here.

Electrolysis is mostly a function of current.

Take a clad coin and just place it in some mild acid or salt solution.

Two Dissimilar Metals, Electrolyte and you have a battery.

They will Electrolysis them selve to death. LOL!

That's why they don't do so well in the Beaches.

Most Parks hit the Lawns with fertilizers once a year and there loaded with Nitrates, metal Minerals of various types.

Again, the coin becomes a Battery in self destruct mode.

Zinclons turn into Alka Selsers at about this time.

Back to the Subject.

Any Electro Lyte will work just fine.

Best I've used was Baking Soda . ( Relatively Harmless, Salt but easy to boil away, Cleans up fast, WORKS!)

Never leave the material dry with the salts .

Gotta Rinse it in boiling water ( A Few times and Loose the Corrosive Salts)

If you want more, Practice on Zinclons.

One Chink in the Cooper Armor and there done.

Been There Seen That, No One was selling T shirts!

I use about two tablespoons of each per liter of water. It's not critical. Use aluminum foil for the anode and it works in seconds rather than minutes.

It's not my method. I saw it here around a year ago and tried it. Miraculous.
