Do you need them to close the bank account?

Yeah but I can't find any of them, The Treasurer moved away and heaven knows where the rest of them are.

Do you know if the money is still there at all?

My guess would be your financial person probably closed it out long ago.

No it's still there because no one can touch it unless I sign as well as the treasurer, It needs 2 signatures.

I don't know about over there but here after it sits dormant for so long.  The banks have to advertise it.
Then if no one claims it the government holds for so long .
If ztill not claimed the bank and government share it.
How nice of them.

I was the chairman of a 2003 convention in Oz. When it was over, we disbanded owing members of the committee who wen tout of pocket. After all the bills were paid, deposits recovered, we paid the members and had $900 remaining. I couldn't get any of the members together so I, as chairman, gathered a pro forma committee and we voted to close the account. I withdrew the funds. Since a new committee was forming, I gave them the over amount. Not that YOU should do that, but that's what I did. The bank only wanted to see the minutes of our pro forma committee meeting and they handed over the balance and closed the account.

That would require him traveling back to Australia,  i don't think that's in his plans at the moment.
But it's a good idea. If he happens to have that information.

No. I did it from here. If he is a signatory on the account, he can do it all by mail.
