We put 700,000 on a 1988 ford conversion van traded it for a dodge Durango.
Should have kept the van. LOL
And we never had a problem with the steering column.
What kind of rough roads were you on.

I hope it is ok homie coz that is going in my camper when I get it,

you here of too many steering colum bearings wearing out, what would be cool is a 4x4 Econoline and lifted so it can deal when the going gets rough.  Great

Ours went through 3 radiators and 4 starters and a  plenum.  And replaced all the fuel injectors a couple of times.

There were several companies back in the day that would modify econoline vans into 4 wheel drive off road campers.
Used to be one in Colorado.

Arrr the Canadian motor, the last F series in OZ that had them was the 67/68 models all of ours got the old 250ci falcon motor or the 302 Cleveland and the 351 Cleveland and in 79 they bought the Crossflow alloy head 250ci motor, Some guys did fit the 400M and 460s in their own trucks but that was about it ,
